Dr. Noreen O’Neill has served in a variety of roles in the field of education. Beginning her career as a middle school language arts teacher in the Brandywine School District in Wilmington, Delaware, she worked in the forefront of a district transition from junior high schools to middle schools. She was honored as Springer Middle School’s Teacher of the Year, the Outstanding Team Teacher of the Year by the ARC of Delaware, and the Service-Learning Teacher of the Year by the Delaware Teachers’ Academy for Service Learning.
Noreen also served as an assistant principal and principal in the Penn Delco School District in Aston, Pennsylvania and was recognized for her work with the Penn Delco Pride Award. She published two articles on her experience as a building leader, “Assistant Principals as Peacemakers: The Administrative Oxymoron” and “An Olympic Effort,” both published in Principal Leadership. Noreen earned a Masters of Education in Leadership and Instruction and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University. Noreen served in educational service agencies in the roles of Supervisor of Staff Development, Assistant Executive Director, and Director of Innovative Services. She has led statewide a school improvement initiative in Pennsylvania, created new services for schools and districts, facilitated superintendent conferences, and supervised both curriculum and technology services. Most recently, Noreen earned CoSN’s CETL (Certified Education Technology Leader) certification and has co-taught national CETL Immersion courses. She continues to value both teaching and learning.
