Judy Goldberg is currently the Director, Digital for Classroom Magazines at Scholastic, Inc. She is responsible for conceiving and implementing the strategy for 23 classroom magazines as well as envisioning and implementing new digital products. Judy works closely with editorial, marketing, and her user experience and design team to create digital products that display the incredible content in a way that is accessible and delightful.
Judy was previously the Director of Digital Products at Scholastic for the English Language Arts titles and the Executive Editor of Choices, a health and well-being Scholastic magazine for grades 7-12. Judy was also the Editor of Literary Cavalcade, a Scholastic monthly magazine of contemporary literature for young people with a focus on books, films and cultural trends, utilizing contemporary cultural and design elements to enliven the content. Prior to returning to Scholastic to oversee Choices, Judy was a Senior Editor at Parents magazine where she assigned and edited features including special reports, food stories, essays, columns and service pieces. She was also the author of a monthly award-winning advice column at Parents and created and produced the award-winning Parents magazine podcast.
Judy received a BA at the Tisch School of Arts and an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University. Judy lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn and is passionate about social justice and her family and their golden retriever.
